It is highly recommended to make a reservation. We start taking reservations a year in advance, and most weekends are already booked up a year ahead. Weekdays tend to stay fairly open other than June – August. To ensure you get your favorite campsite, even weekday reservations should be made in advance. A 3 night minimum applies for all holiday weekends.

Online Reservations – The fastest way to reserve a site or cabin!
Click the “Book Your Stay” button above the menu at the top right of our website. You will be directed to our online booking system. You can make a reservation for 14 days or less on our website. Once you have completed and paid for your reservation you will receive an instant reservation confirmation.

Call our office at 608-297-2002. We recommend looking at a park map prior to calling for reference. If we are unable to answer when you call, please leave a voicemail including your name, requested dates, site preferences, and your call back phone number. If you do not leave a voicemail, you will not receive a call back.

We open our camping reservation book one full season in advance. Reservations open for the following season the very first Monday in April. For year-in-advance reservations there is a $30 non-refundable deposit due at time of making a reservation.

To rent a campsite at Wilderness Campground in Montello, Wisconsin you need to be 18 years or older.

All campsites have water and electricity. Sewer hookup is available on full hook-up campsites.

The campground opens mid-April and closes mid-October.

Our daily camping rates include the campsite for one family unit (2 adults and children 17 & under), one camping unit per site. A camping unit is defined as a tent, travel trailer, pop-up, fifth wheel, etc. Maximum of 2 vehicles on campsites and 1 vehicle on rental cabin sites.

All campground amenities are included in your camping stay other than those listed below.

• Mini Golf
• Rental equipment such as: bikes, pedal carts, rental boats, kayaks, rowboats, etc
• Showers in campground bathhouses
• Laundry
• Select activities and crafts for a minimal charge

We offer a 10% discount to active and veteran members of the military.

We have planned activities every weekend, and weekdays from June – August. Activities change from weekend to weekend depending on the theme. All activities are subject to change without notice.

We have wifi hotspots located at our Office, the pool area and the Smores Shack for our guests to access the internet. WiFi can be accessed by selecting Wilderness Campground wifi, which is our complimentary wifi service. There is a four hour access period, after 4 hours you will be automatically logged out and you will have to sign back in. You may or may not be able to access the internet directly from your campsite. Because we do not have a charge for this service, we do not provide any technical support. Weather, or other circumstances beyond our control, may cause the internet to be inaccessible intermittently.

Yes, we have 2 laundry facilities: one by the pool and by the S’more Shack.

Campsites are allowed up to 2 vehicles to be parked at the campsite.

Cabins are allowed 1 vehicle to be parked on site.

If you have more than the allowed number of vehicles there are overflow parking areas across from the office, up by the swimming pool and by s’more pond. Upon check-in, ask our staff for the nearest parking to your campsite or cabin.

For our guests’ convenience there are grocery staples in the Office store.

We have 2 snack bars, one at the Office and at the S’more Shack. S’more Shack is open Memorial weekend – Labor day.

We offer delivery on snack bar food, ice, and firewood with a $10 order minimum.

At this time our reservation system does not have a gift certificate feature.
